
Tuesday 10th February 2026 saw Officers from the Districts of both East Midlands and East Anglia descend on Northampton Council No. 99 for a memorable night of Cryptic Masonry that included six Candidates being received and acknowledged as Most Excellent and Super Excellent Masters and a delegation from Charles Herbert Perram Council No. 66 bearing the Travelling Trowel.
The District Grand Master of East Anglia, Right Illustrious Companion Geoff Spencer being welcomed by the District Grand Master of East Midlands, Right Illustrious Companion Martin Wilson with the TIM of Northampton Council Stephen Hardy, DM Anthony Avery and PCW Stan Brown.

The evening finished with a fine Festive Board at which the District Grand Master announced the East Midlands District Companions that are to be honoured with Royal & Select Master Grand Rank preferments in April; and that Illustrious Companion Ian Knox would be retiring as Deputy District Grand Master.
The District Grand Master expressed his sincere thanks to Illustrious Companion Knox for his longstanding dedication to the East Midlands District and to the Order of Royal & Select Masters, recognising his many years of faithful and meritorious service.
At the forthcoming Annual Meeting of the District Grand Council of East Midlands in May the current Principal Conductor of the Work, Illustrious Companion Ian Johnson, will be installed as the new Deputy District Grand Master and Illustrious Companion Philip Marshall will be installed as the new District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work.
