
On Monday 8th September a team led by the District Grand Master, Right Illustrious Companion Martin Wilson arrived in Leicester to assist the Council in conferring the Degrees of Most Excellent Master and Super Excellent Master on six Companions; Nitesh Bhundia, Alan Little, John Goodacre and Grahame Harrison from Leicester Council along with Stuart Potts and Jonathan Brown from The Olney Council. The District Grand Master was supported by Officers and Members of Leicester Council, the Past District Grand Master and Custodian of the Ninth Arch, Right Illustrious Companion Michael Jolley, the District Grand Principal Conductor of the Work, Illustrious Companion Ian Johnson and Officers of the District Grand Council of the East Midlands.
Leicester Council also warmly welcomed a delegation from Corby Council bearing the Travelling Trowel on the latest leg of its journey around the District.
And finally, having patiently awaited their turn through all the preceding ceremony, the Thrice Illustrious Master of Leicester Council and District Grand Organist, Illustrious Companion Geoff Phipps installed his successor, Illustrious Companion Trevor Rogers in a splendid manner, Illustrious Companion Rogers likewise installing the officers for the year and bringing proceedings to a close after a very busy night in the temple.
The Companions retired to a fine festive board which capped off a most excellent evening of Cryptic Masonry.
